19th c Antique Mandolin LH New York Lyon & Healy Regal

19^th c. Antique Mandolin New York LH paper Label Lyon & Healy  .… another eBayer suggested this may be an Antique Regal Mandolin . . .many are over $200 . . .obviously you can win this for a fraction of that price . . .here is a very old Mandolin which appears to be from late part of the 19^th century or very early 20^th century  . .. inside paper label reads “ HAMMER- LH  N.Y “ so I assume it could be by sold Lyon & Healy from New York  . . .but I’m not exactly sure . .  – Metal bridge portion Reads “ Bell Brand pat. NMS Co.“ stamped on it and looks to be original . . 20 frets . . . . Measurements are 24-1/2” long – 9-1/2” at body widest part – oval hole is 3” wide – 1-7/8” thick  .. . neck near head is about 1-1/4” wide . . . it has wear especially around oval sound hole from playing and looks to have its original patina finish . .piece has original canvas case  which has wear to it but fits mandolin fine . . . .as far as repairs and damage -  on edge it has an old repair and the head stock has a split also part of binding is coming loose – nut at head stock is damaged . and the brace wood support has become loose and is inside mandolin body loose – needs to be re-attached . .**SEE PHOTOS **…..…. it looks to have its original bridge and metal string holder  . .machines look original . . . it is truly a nice piece to show – play and have in any collection. - PLEASE use photos for condition of piece . . .  I have several other Vintage Antique Musical instruments string – Banjo ukulele, Guitar acoustic, all from Auctions near and around New York City . . –You see the instrument just as I got them .. .   . please check them all out ….
