Ludwig DEC 03 1966 Blue Oyster 22/16/13 Set $99.95 NR!

Open to International Bidders! This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage 1960's Ludwig "Super-Classic" drum outfit. The sizes are;

14" deep x 22" wide bass drum ( serial # 390309 ) Date stamp DEC 03 1966

16" deep x 16" wide floor tom ( serial # 390546 ) Date stamp DEC 05 1966

9" deep x 13" wide tom-tom ( serial # 384220 ) Date stamp DEC ?? 1966

These three drums are all constructed out of three plies of wood ( mahogany/poplar/maple) and have solid maple interior glue-rings. The interiors are painted in Ludwig white "Reso-coat" enamel. All three drums are factory wrapped in Ludwig "Blue Oyster Pearl". Keystone badge are securely affixed to each shell.

As you can see from my pictures, the blue oyster pearl finish is in superb condition, and is extremely glossy, bright, and un-faded. There are just a few scratches in the pearl, but the overall appearance is breathtaking, and is quite honestly, the best I've ever seen! The white interiors on each drum are immaculately preserved as a result of each drum never having it's drum heads left off.

There are absolutely no modifications to these drums, and each shell has every single one of it's original metal fittings. The hardware is brilliantly triple-AAA Diamond chrome plated, and you will find that only a few of the lugs have any signs of minor pin-point pitting. The bass drum has 20 lugs and T-rods, a rail consolette, 2 folding bass drum spurs, and shell mounted cymbal holder recieving unit. The floor tom has 16 Classic lugs, a lever-style internal muffler, and three Classic floor tom legs & brackets. The rack tom has just 12 Classic lugs, an lever-style internal muffler, and a Classic style tom mounting bracket.

The only thing missing on this set, is about 3/4 of the rear hoop's blue oyster inlay is missing, but I have ordered some replacement inlay strips from Jack Lawton. You won't find a nicer, cleaner set of Ludwig Blue Oyster drums anywhere on e-bay!
