The New Helmke model violin has a 10 Year warranty. This warranty specifically includes the actual violin body, the fingerboard, the neck of the violin, the scroll, the chin rest, the tailpiece and the fine tuners. The warranty is specifically against failure of any of the mentioned parts of the violin in the previous sentence. If any of the above mentioned parts in this warranty clause should fail in the period of ten years from the exact date of sale, then USA Music Supply will replace the part that has failed free of charge with a exact or like part at USA Music Supply’s discretion, free of charge, less the shipping charges, which the buyer pays on any type of warranty claim. A warranty claim must be accompanied by a legitimate, dated proof of purchase from USA Music Supply to be valid as well as the failed part returned to USA Music Supply. Damage or failure of the violin caused by abuse or neglect, is specifically not covered under USA Music Supply warranty. Normal wear and tear items are not covered under the ten-year warranty. Normal wear and tear items are defined as strings, rosin, hairs of the violin bow, violin bow, tuning pegs, bridge, the violin case, violin case straps or the sound post falling in the sound hole.
