Martin Committee trumpet in original finish. Bore is 455. Plays AMAZING! Gone through by Mr. Charlie Melk. Serial # 15XXXX from about 1945 from what I can find out on the internet.These trumpets have such a distintive quality to the sound they can produce, many pros have played this model, I know Chris Botti plays a vintage Committe trumpet to this day. Words cannot describe the experience of playing one of these horns. Like no other trumpet I have played.
Lacquer is not that good on this one, I suppose the instrument could be polished, I would leave as it is, great player.All slides work as they should, valves are very smooth and fast although in looking at them they show some age spots, the trumpet plays good just as it is.Take it and go. These have a distinctive feel in the hand. Rare to find one of these that has not been messed with.I will ship outside USA.
