This sale is for a very good used 1968 Evinrude Sportwin model 9822D s/n E19204 outboard motor and plastic 6 gallon fuel tank & hose. I will not ship the tank & hose it is only for local pick up with the buy it now option. I will ship the motor only for $125 in a well packaged wood crate to the USA lower 48 states. I have used this motor on the Grand River all this season 2008 and have run 7 six gallon tanks off fuel through it without any problems. In fact it usually starts on the first pulI when cold ! Picked up 6 more of these motors and don't need this one. Pictured here running today on the Potawatamie Bayou 8-16-08. Cleaned the points, carb and changed plugs. Changed the gear lube and it is good to go. The old gear lube had no water or shavings present. I also changed out the port side shroud as the old one had a crack in the casting at the lower pivot. That is why it is a darker blue. No signs of overheating & pumps water very good. Due to the age of the motor it is for sale as is no warranty. Time to gear up for your favorite fishing hole, duck or goose hunting, or muskrat trapping. These are old reliable motors that weigh only 62# and have that low profile for casting over. They idle down great for trolling and have a low water setting for the shallows. The throttle twist grip folds down for storage and it has a built in carrying handle. Parts are still readilly available for these 2 cycle motors. It is a short shaft 15 inches and uses a 50:1 mix. I'll include an extra shear pin for the lucky winner of this sale and photo copies of the parts, service, and owners manuals in the photo. The 6 gallon tank and hose is still included when the motor is picked up locally & the reserve is met. Just wanted to clarify the question raised by a bidder. Thanks for looking, Tom.
