Ok, set back and take a deep breath. This is a near mint 1967 Martin D-28 serial number 227443. It is all original and has been setting in a case without strings for a bunch of years. You will not believe the condition this beauty is in. It has the original case and even the original warranty card two hang tags from Martin. The frets and fret board are in great shape as well. These old Martins did not have a trus rod and most of them needed a neck reset. This old gal in my opinion does not at this time need a neck reset. I don't know how else to describe this but to say, WOW THIS IS A VINTAGE 1967 MARTIN D-28 IN NEAR NEW OR MINT CONDITION. A TRUE CLOSET CLASSIC. Shipping will be in the lower 48 states unless you email me for a quote. Also, please email me before you bid if you don't have at least a positive feedback score of five or better. I have gotten several emails about the type of woods the guitar is made of. I talked with the owner and also looked it up on the web. The back and sides are Brazilian Rosewood and the top is spruce but I can't be for sure what kind of spruce. On Sep-07-08 at 14:42:58 PDT, seller added the following information:Several folks have emailed me and said that the 1967 Martins would have a Sitka Spruce top. I can't verify that but again I have had several emails telling me that and the information I looked up on the web did say that a majority of 67 D-28's did have a Sitka spruce top. On Sep-13-08 at 06:00:54 PDT, seller added the following information:the pre filled item information comes from ebay and it desribes the newer Martin's. Sorry for the confusion. On Sep-13-08 at 13:56:13 PDT, seller added the following information:Guitar was recently taken to local guitar shop, and the measurement at the 12th fret was .185 from top of fret to bottomof the string. It also appears that the bridge has been professionally notched in front of the bridge pins (commomn for old Martins, Gibson's, etc. Saddle was lowered to make action better. As far as the sound, this thing is a cannon with no apparent buzzing when open and bar chords are played.
