1953 Martin D-28 Acoustic Flattop Guitar Ser#128919 ~ w/ DeArmond Soundhole Pickup
This listing features a real piece of musical history for you. This is a 1953 Martin D-28 Acoustic Flat Top Guitar for you. It comes to you in a nice solid body case – all clasps intact and the original handle also intact though it does have tope on it to reinforce. Original soft fabric inside is still super. No brand markings on the case that I can find. The 1953 Martin D-28 Acoustic Flattop (Flat Top) guitar is still in solid condition for you - finish still looks great and there are no cracks or breaks in the body or neck. There is a small hairline scratches in the finish but not breaks. Natural finish is still very nice. As you can see, it currently has a DeArmond soundhole pickup attached and I would assume that this was an add-on at some point in the past. Original serial number #128919 and the style / model number D-28 is stamped on the neck block - which dates it to 1953. Neck is straight and the logo / decal is still clear on the peghead. Definately a gorgeous piece of the past.
