I bought this beautiful guitar new at a high end guitar shop in San Francisco that specialized in classical and finger style guitars. I was just window shopping in the store not planning to buy anything when I was smitten by the very special tone and ease of playing of this guitar. I was also in a phase of collecting extra nice guitars so I couldn't pass it up. It was a special instrument when I bought it and it is a special instrument today. To be honest played very little because my favorite acoustic is another Collings OM and I felt like I was being unfaithful to her when I wasn't playing with her. This guitar is absolutely flawless, and a rare beauty with its cedar top and Indian Rosewood back and sides. Because I should get rid of some of my guitars, I've toyed with the idea of letting her go for the past year but the memory of her sweet sound, super playability, and drop dead good looks kept me from doin' it. Today though, I found another beauty that I can't pass up...a Hot Rod Jeep. So it's time for this pure Collings OM1IC beauty to find another love to care for her the way that I never could. This guitar will become a friend for life for the right buyer. She is really really sweet.........................
