Up for bids is this vintage 70's (I think) AIMS tube guitar / bass amplifier. It was made here in Phoenix, AZ by Aims Amplifiers Inc. and has a Serial Number 20158.
The amplifier is in good cosmetic condition with a couple of scratches on the face plate. It is missing the Intensity control knob and the "power on" indicator does not light.
The amp measures 23 3/8" wide, x 11 1/2" deep, x 7 7/8" high, and weighs about 24 Lb.
The amp is equipped with two 6550, two 12AT7, and four 7025 tubes. On the left it has a master volume knob, on the middle it has knob controls for volume, treble, middle and bass and slide controls for bright and reverb, and on the right it has knob controls for volume, treble, middle, bass, reverb and tremolo (speed and intensity), and a slide control for bright.
I tested the amp with a guitar and it sounds pretty good, all the functions appear to be in working order. There is a disconnected wire on the reverberation unit, it's an easy fix, but my soldering skills are null.
I have the whole cabinet (please see photos) which is equipped with six Eminence 10" speakers, but it is very heavy (in excess of 100 Lb) and would be very expensive to ship. If a fellow ebayer is interested in the whole thing and can pick it up, it would be nice to sell it all together.
