1970 Marshall 50w model 1987 guitar amp
You are bidding on a 1970 Marshall 50w model 1987 guitar amp.
Dated 8-4-70 on the assembly label, most phases of assembly and test initialed by 'PB'.
Amp head only, no bottom is included.
The amp is in good cosmetic condition, and sounds great. A very loud 50 watts.
This amp has been used a lot, and shows some wear and tear.
Marshall logo on front is broken and missing the 'r', so it says 'Ma shall'.
I will include a correct replacement logo (shown in pictures).
Also, since it has been used, it has had repairs and maintenance required to keep it going for 38 years.
I have only owned it a short time and do not know the full repair history.
It has newer filter caps, some other electrolytics have been replaced, maybe a couple of resistors.
It looks like high quality spares were used for all maintenance and repairs.
It is heavy and shipping will be expensive, I will ship worldwide to confirmed addresses only.
Local pickup or meeting half-way is welcome.
I have attached quite a few pictures, and a few more are available at:

On Sep-09-08 at 08:39:49 PDT, seller added the following information:At the request of a couple of potential bidders, I have added 4 more pictures of the circuit board to the picasa web album.
I have also had questions about repairs and parts that have been replaced. As I said in the listing, it has had repairs over the years, and I don't know the history. Take a good look at all of the pictures. If you have questions after viewing the pics, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.
On Sep-12-08 at 06:45:23 PDT, seller added the following information:At the request of a couple of potential bidders, I have added a couple of better pictures of the inspection tag to the picasa web album at: http://picasaweb.google.com/brianwilliams646/1970Marshall50wModel1987 See the last two pictures. While taking a better look at the inspection tag, it looks like it is dated 28-4-70, which would mean the amp was completed on April 28, 1970.
Also I have been told that this is a model 1986 Bass guitar amp, not a 1987. These are usually used for guitar, and many big name artists use them as their main guitar amp. Sorry for the confusion, I'm not a Marshall amp expert.
