Here is something you don't see everyday: An old Silvertone guitar painted entirely in black. Even the fretboard is black. This is the original finish. It has not been repainted. It measures 42" long by 15 1/2" wide by 4" deep. Both top and back are arched. Nut is 1 10/16" wide. Original tuners. Rosewood adjustable bridge, also painted black. Body outlined with white lines. Action at 12th fret is 3/8". Neck tilts upwards slightly but you can fret chords all the way without strings buzzing. Intonation is good. A D chord on the second fret sounds the same on the 14th. Bronze strings look new and look good against the black fret board and white markers. Probably dates to the 1950's/60's. Has a nice sound to it. If nothing else, it looks really cool! Please contact me if you have any questions. I accept a check or money order. I DON'T use Paypal. Item sent immediately upon receipt of M.O. Check must clear bank, 7-10 days. Buyer to pay S&H cost which will be calculated at end of sale. If you want an estimate for shipping, send me a zip code and I'll get you one. Insurance is optional but I'm not responsible for loss or damage if you decline to use it. Please don't bid unless you fully intend to honor it. Thanks for checking it out! On Sep-07-08 at 08:04:27 PDT, seller added the following information:The action at the 12th fret is 3/16 of an inch. Not 3/8 of an inch as I stated in the description. It is a playable guitar.
