* Revision* Alot of people aked these same Q's so ..... The empty shell depth is 15-1/2in deep. From the Front rail to the rear with the Rear cover on is 17-1/4. (Will house a Crown Power Base amp for sure) This rack does'nt have rear rails. However I installed a short piece of rail in the rear top, (1 rack space) see new pix. I put my power strip on it. ALSO many people want to know if the latches work. Hmm, I've used SKB stuff for years with no latch problems. I did take a close look. One of the latches has been repaired. There are 2 little welds on it. OK, I'm wrong they do break. I've never had a problem with this one locking up and keeping my gear safe. If any one wants to retract their bid, I'm cool with it, my bad. Sorry for not doing a complete inspection on this. Honestly I was more concerned with the gear IN the rack than the rack it self.
