Up for auction we have a 1961 Fender Stratocaster that was refinished at Fender in 1964!!
This is the coolest refin strat we have ever had in our store. The original owner had the guitar refinished in 1964. The guitar retains 100% of the original 61' parts and extras and is in near mint condition. The slabboard, clay dot neck is dated 4-61. The complete pick guard assembly dates to the 4 week of 61'. There have been no alterations to any routes or body contours. The paint stick mark (64') is perfect. The worm route still has the hairs. The pin router marks are all there. Every part on the guitar including the Tuners, Saddles, Tremolo, Pots, Pickups, Green Nitro Pick Guard, Neck plate, Jack Plate, and the Plastic parts. The guitar retains a 64' era sunburst finish and a 64' era logo from it's refin. This was a complete refin at the factory, so they upgraded the logo to there correct production at the time. The guitar is in (excellent + ) 9/10 condition, and comes complete with the original brown gold liner 61' Case in excellent , and all the 61' Hang Tags with the matching serial number. The trem bar is included and even has the tension spring.
