Nice Little Vintage Gibson Banjo - 1923 - Irish Tenor

This old Gibson dates from 1923 and bears serial number 11194A-38.  Aside from the addition of a new heel-cap it is in excellent original condition with a plastic head and what looks like a recently added armrest and tailpiece.  Frets and fingerboard look almost new.  There is a little age discoloration on the peghead but it plays and sounds great.  These little Gibsons have a great big sound and are a perfect for travel or performance.  A good first choice for Celtic music and Irish bands.  An old hardshell case is available for $10 more.  This model is the Gibson Junior with a 10 1/2 inch head.
