Sax is Brand New, and stamped Palm Winds it is Anodized Nickel plated that is why it is black. In other words that is not just a paint finish it would be akin to nickel silver but will hold up much better. The black nickel finish is much better than the lacquer tone wise, and cosmetically it will hold up to the wear and tear of play. This is an extremely well made sax. It is made in the same factory as other major brands. Gets awesome tone. Sax has been professionally set up so you wont have to worry about that. Sax itself is new but comes with a used Yamaha MP, as well as used cap and lig. If you would prefer a brand new MP set up with new cap and lig let me know. Has Italian Pads Metal resonators, the Springs are also made in Italy.
