Control Plate Assembly from the Fender Custom Shop !! Woo hoo !!
This control assembly is a genuine, authentic,
and brand new old stock Fender Custom Shop part, never used, made in 2008,
as part of the Fender Custom Shop's "Custom Classic" Telecaster !! It features
a 4-Way switch, which allows you to wire two single coil Tele pickups to give
you both the usual parallel wiring in the combined position and the fatter tone
of of a series combination (Fender's new S-1 does that too, but this does
it without adding any extra buttons, just an extra position on the
lever switch ... cool !!)
The switch is mounted at the back of the plate and the volume knob moves to
the top, for easier volume swells. It is easy to reshuffle this set up to the
standard layout if you want, but once you try it, you will almost surely find this reverse
layout mod, which players have been doing since the 1960's, is actually a big
improvement !!
Other cool features on this rare part are the old school 1951 "Broadcaster" knobs,
and the big 'top hat" style switch tip, and complete wired jack assembly. All high end vintage cloth wiring too !! Highest Fender Custom Shop Quality !! Wrap your fingers around this bodacious pair of knobs and
