This guitar is a great sounding classic made by Yamaha. It was made to
imitate the classic martin dreadnaught sound. It doesn't take long to figure out this is one great sounding guitar. As a good as a martin? Probably not. But still great sound for it's price. This particular one was
made in Taiwan. I’ve had it for about 2 years and I’ve greatly enjoyed
it.
If you don't know much about these guitars look at the reviews. (http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar/product/Yamaha/FG-140/10/1)
It has a K&K mini pure pickup installed. Read online to find reviews for these pickups. They are great pickups.
The guitar is a great guitar for a beginning to intermediate guitar
player or for a beat-around guitar for any one. These things are nearly
indestructible. (okay, you could break it, but it’s pretty tough.)
This is a well-played guitar. It's been a lot of places and it's pretty easy to see that it's got lots of nicks and dings. There are some significant scratches on the back where someone’s belt buckle
likely rubbed against the finish. None of these affect the structural integrity of the guitar.
The action and intonation are pretty good for a guitar of this age.
I have a chipboard case that I’ll sell with this guitar.
Ask me questions if you have them.
I will ship the US only. I only accept Paypal for payment
On Dec-04-08 at 05:55:14 PST, seller added the following information:I was looking over the guitar again and I noticed that in addition to some scratches on the back of the guitar (which was stated in the listing), there are more of the same type scratches on the bottom of the guitar, where it would rest on someone's lap.
