S One bookmatched carving cap (wings) here for electric guitar. Hard to find 100% quartered huon + mild figure in this set. PRS shape drawn. Will require 'neck through' addition to make up necessary width- not supplied. Straight grain and defect free. Huon has a reputation for outstanding stability. The tree is also among the oldest living things known.- enjoy.
Huon Pine supply is regulated in Tasmania. No logging. Limited quantities are made available from existing sources of fallen timber, mostly reclaimed from sunken log or jams. Huon is very slow growing taking about 600yrs to reach two feet diameter. Trees 3000yrs old were not uncommon to early 'piners'.
All Old Dry seasoned over 10yrs. Perfect quartersawn and defect free.
