Hello and thank you for looking. You are bidding on a 1996 USA Fender Anniversary Stratocaster with flame maple top.
This strat was a player's guitar so to speak. There are the usual swirl types scratches, small dings, nicks and one bigger nick on the lower bout. The gold plating has worn off in various places. However, there is still alot of gloss to the guitar. Please see the pictures as I want to be upfront about it.
With that said, the flame is very flamey, that, really is cool looking. There is even some flame in the neck, which, I do not believe was intentional to the run. The rosewood fret board is clean, the neck has very low action, and is very fast. The rear pickup sounds incredible all be it a Seymour Duncan that is not original. IMO, the pick up sounds like a PAF humbucker that gives you that crunch sound say on LP with a 496T in it. The neck and middle pickups are original to the guitar and sound great. Very bluesy. This guitar is a great sounding and a great playing guitar.
This is #46 out of 2005. These guitars are rare as they only made 2500 of them.
If you are looking for a great playing strat, alone it would stand by itself. Throw in the fact that it is an anniversary series, low serial number, and flame top, it makes it that much better.
I bought this thinking I would keep it. However, I am thinning out the heard so to speak and I am selling a couple of other guitars. Original tweed case and a tremolo arm are included.
