Gibson Tenor Banjo 1922/23

Early sample of Gibson's pre war banjos.  The serial number 11556-3 puts the production date from 1922 - 25 and the tension rods dates it from the second half of 1922 onwards as Gibson started to fit steel tension rods from around July 1922 onwards. The neck design being cropped at the tension ring tends to suggest 1922/3 rather than later as on later models the finger board extended over the  skin
