LOW STARTING BID!
You
are bidding on an old antique German violin out of a musicans
collection. This violin has a magnificent sounds. Inside the violin
located is the following label: "Geigenbaumeister Otto Seifert in
Berlin 1903" The
front side of this violin is made out of very fine aged spruce wood,
while the back side is made out of strong but beautiful fine flamed
maple wood. Chinrest, pegs and tailpiece are made out of unique Box
tree wood, while the Fingerboard is made out of ebony wood.
The scroll as well is artistically and cleanly carved. The varnish
colour is still the original finish and is a light hazel brown with a
yellow base.
Total length of this Violin is 59 cm, while the body from the neck down
is 36 cm. This violin has been restored by a professional bavarian
Violin builder, so this instrument needs no repairs, is in very
good condition and has no open tears and is ready to be played. The
work of this violin clearly has shows the work of the old school of
german violin builders. I can't guarantee for the authenticity of the Label located inside the violin, but it is for sure an old and beautiful german violin with a full deep distinct sound that is perfect
