This auction is for a beautiful SELMER MARK VI BARITONE SAXOPHONE with LOW A . It has serial number 192,xxx ....vintage 1963.
This
is my personal baritone sax, which I am selling with many regrets. It has been absolutely the BEST Bari that I have ever owned or played.
Unfortunately I have had two back operations, and now have a knee that may need replaced, so while I will keep playing my soprano, alto & tenor,
the baritone has become a burden for me to to transport, carry and play.
This sax is in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically.
It has it's Original lacquer , which is 90+% intact. The bell engraving is deep and very distinct and there are only a few spots of wear and freckling
on the instrument. It has but one tiny dent on the inside of the bow, some small oxidation spots and one keyguard post has a been soldered.
Quite a remarkably few flaws indeed for a 45 year old.baritone sax!!
Mechanically this sax has recently had a thorough re-conditioning and is in terrific playing condition. All the pads, felts and corks are performing excellently and it has no issues whatsoever.
This Big Dog can BARK!! It has a HUGE powerful lower register that can roar like a lion. Yet it subtones with ease to purr like a kitten. It responds
easily in all registers and the intonation is right on. The tonal quality is at once as deep, dark and delicious as a cup of the finest expresso.
This truly is the best of the best.
A new hard case that fits to perfection, and has only been used a handful of times is included...but no mouthpiece.
Check out the photos and I think you'll agree that this is one of the nicest Mark VI Low A Baritone saxes of this great vintage that is
available anywhere. It's being offered with NO RESERVE...so BID FREELY and YOU can determine it's final value!!
THE COST FOR SHIPPING TO ASIA AND EUROPE IS $150 PLUS INSURANCE ON THE FINAL VALUE. Shipping costs to USA buyers in the lower 48 states is $60 and includes insurance . Others please email for estimated rates.

I mis-read the charts when I dated it. and believed it to be from 1963. Please accept my apology for not being more careful.
