UREI 545 Parametric Equalizer - in Excellent condition.
Original owner, used only in non-smoking professional studio.
I am the original owner of this unit. It was used briefly in my own non-smoking professional studio and is clean, calibrated and in beautiful condition. Please note in the rear panel photograph that XLR and TRS connectors were once installed (very professionally) but have been removed and the original UREI terminal strips have been reinstalled. The unit is otherwise absolutely stock and in superb condition. I have included many detailed photos so you can see this for yourself. _______________________________________________________________________________
The Model 545 is a true parametric Equalizer, in which all important filter parameters are continuously and independently variable. It is an ideal tool for creative and corrective equalization in professional sound recording, broadcast production, sound reinforcement systems, motion picture and TV recording, and live performances.
The continuously variable frequency controls feature a user interface like no other equalizer ever made. The frequencies are printed on a rotating dial and become highlighted as they pass in front of a white display area located to the left of each large dial. This unique design permits very easy and repeatable settings. All potentiometers are very high resolution Allen Bradley cermet Mod Pots.
Features:
- There are four full parametric equalizer sections and two filters in the Model 545.
- Bandwidth control continuously variable between 1/2 octave and 2 octaves.
- Boost-cut control is continuously variable between plus and minus 15dB.
- The Low Band is continuously variable from 24 Hz to 315 Hz with 22 labeled frequencies.
- The Mid Band is continuously variable from 190 Hz to 2.24 kHz with 22 labeled frequencies.
- The High Band is continuously variable from .96 kHz to 12,5 kHz with 22 labeled frequencies.
- The Multi Band is continuously variable across three ranges: 15 Hz to 200 Hz; 150 Hz to 2 kHz; 1.5 kHz to 20 kHz. There are 20 labeled frequencies and a x1, x10, x100 multiplier switch.
- The Low Cut and High Cut filter sections may be tuned to adjust the bandwidth of the equalizer. They are of the Butterworth type with an attenuation of 12 dB/octave beyond the -3 dB points. The Low Cut is continuously variable from 16Hz to 800Hz with 17 labeled frequencies - every third octave. The Hi Cut is continuously variable from 500Hz to 25kHz with 17 labeled frequencies.
- Large, easy-to-adjust controls.
- Multi-point overload detection circuit shows overload occurring at any stage of the equalizer.
- Transformer isolated output.
- Self contained with regulated power supply.
