Vintage Danelectro
Special Series D
Model 68
TONE! TONE! TONE!
I've owned this amp for about 8 years. My father picked it up at a garage sale. I've decided to "thin the herd" and this one I've decided to sell (check my other items up for auction).
Since owning this amp I've searched Ebay on a regular basis and have NEVER seen one exactly like it. If you can provide any info on what year it is, I'd like to hear from you.
I believe the tubes are stock, except for maybe a preamp tube. Tubes are as follows (l to r) 6X5GT, 6SJ7, 6V6GT (2), 12AX7 (2).
12" speaker
I do not have the footswitch.
This amp works perfectly. Great tone, as only a vintage tube amp can provide.
I hate to let it go, but recent marriage dictates I liquidate some of my closet gems.
Feel free to ask questions, and/or offer info on what year this amp is.
Check my feedback and bid wth confidence.
Due to its age, amp is sold "as is", but guarenteed to not be D.O.A

Update:
Having forwarded info on the Rola speaker date codes to an ebayer, he dates the amp to 1957. Another ebayer who owns one just like it, dates it to pre '56. The back of the amp clearly reads "Red Bank N.J." which predates the move to Neptune City.
I've received numerous inquiries on shipping to Canada. I am willing to ship to Canada as long as the winning bidder pays any additional shipping, taxes, fees, etc. that may be incurred. I've never shipped outside the US before, so I'm not clear on what fees may be required.
Thanks to all of you who have shown interest, and provided info.
Good Luck bidding.
Someone's going to get a great little amp and a piece of history...
