1990 Kubicki Ex-Factor Bass Guitar (Serial number 2463 06 90). Dark Grey metallic paint. Has the built-in headstock quick-release D-tuner, of course (see pic below). I am the original owner, and the instrument was hardly used; for the last 16 years at least, this instrument has been in its case, safely packed away; before that, it was used only rarely. There are NO scratches, dents, chips, or fretboard wear on this instrument; it's in extremely good condition. The included hardshell case has some very minor dings, nothing significant. The instrument is 100% original; there have been no modifications or customizations to anything. Comes with the original owner's manual, and for what it's worth, a still-wrapped set of Dean Markley Blue Steel light bass strings.
Note that this instrument was one of the early ones made in Fender's custom shop, under the oversight of Phillip Kubicki himself. This bass, like all from that group, is extremely solid and was designed to last and sound great for a long time.
It saddens me a bit to sell this fine instrument, but the truth is that if I haven't played it for so many years, I'm probably not going to again. Hopefully, it'll find a good home.
Shipping is $45 for the continental US; if you're willing to pay more for shipping, I can try to work with other locations. I will accept Paypal or a money order as payment.
Thanks for looking.
On Dec-01-08 at 21:12:22 PST, seller added the following information:NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: The US postal service seems to have some serious limits with shipping larger items outside the US. For some countries, size will be a problem; for others, the max insurance limit is too low. I have no control over this. For full disclosure, the package will be about 25 lbs and 50x16x6 inches - I give this in US units rather than metric, so you can offer alternate shipping options if you'd like. My constraint is that the package must be fully insured. I can send via FedEx, but it's really expensive. Please keep this in mind when bidding.
