This is a Vintage Heinz Schmidt Bassoon.  Made in Germany.

The serial number is 10143 and the number is on all 4 pieces.

The bassoon is in overall good condition.

A lot of the pads look good. There is one pad missing and a few are darker in color and may need to be changed. It also may need some adjustments.

Body is nice with some wear and scratches. Padcups and keys would look nicer with a buffing.

Finger holes are lined.

Tenons look good. U tube seems to be in good condition. The tube does have quite a lot of lacquer wear. See last picture.

The body lock is missing the slide that connects the two middle bodies together.  


Included is a hard case in good condition. There are NO bocals or a palm rest.
