Vintage Kay / Airline / Silvertone K592 - excellent condition
Early 60s. No logo on the headstock (and no sign of a logo...), but these were usually marketed as Airline
This is a beautiful claen, guitar with almost no playwear
Triple Speed Bump pickups, perfect chrome, no dings, no scratches no play wear. All three are loud and strong. All electrics work perfectly with no scratchy pots.
Body is in excellent condition - no scratches or dings, nothing that breaks the laquer. Very slight veining on the front. The back is beautiful with very high gloss. Tiny, tiny amount of buckle rash. No block separation inside cutaways or at bottom of body. Sides have great gloss and no damage. All binding is 100% tight and intact and aged to a nice vintage ivory. Very slight hairline crack inside treble cutaway, but it looks stable. See photo 8
Neck in great condition, great laquer and more of a standard Kay C shape than the V profile you usually see on Airlines. It is missing about 1/4" of binding on the treble side where the neck meets the body. See photos 8 and 11. A few slight dents on the back of the neck, but again nothing that has broken the laquer. Almost no fret wear, no board wear, working truss rod. Nut is 100% clean and intact. Very clean single line Klusons with fully intact ivory buttons. Fingerboard is beautifully figured light rosewood with traditional pick inlays. Guitar plays perfectly up and down the neck.
100% clean, undamaged tailpiece with funky white plastic strap button intact.
