This guitar was acquired recently at an estate auction in rural Michigan. Please rely on the photos
provided, what visual description I am able to offer, but primarily use your own better knowledge and
expertise in making your bidding evaluations. I make a point of finding interesting items to present in
this auction format, but I'm not always aware of the finer points. Ask questions when need be. Beyond
an initial, light cleaning for this presentation this item is being presented just as I found it and is sold
"as is".
The finish on this instrument is really well preserved and attractive. Scuffs and scratches are for the
most part few. Those that exist are incidental and typical with the folllowing exceptions. There is a
crack along the bottom side that needs to be mentioned, but should be easily fixed and likely to be
overlooked when finished, (see photos). I believe the guitar likely had been put down or dropped on
the strap button (of which there is only a small piece lodged in the hole). This shock likely caused the
crack. It is long but very thin. When I put pressue on either side it went back together with little more
than a trace. I thought of gluing it myself. Just the same, I felt it should be up to you to deal with the
repair in your own way. There is also a very long thin gouge in the finish along the bottom of the guitar
that can be seen on close examination but is less of a distraction than these words might
suggest.
The neck seems good and straight and firmly in place on the body. The guitar has what I believe is the
original bridge. Two of the tuning gear posts are notably bent though functional. The guitar has all of
its strings but they are improperly placed on the tuning pegs. There is no pick guard. There is no case.
(Not to fear, I've successfully packed many guitars without cases.)
The strongest attribute for this guitar is the remarkable finish. It really is strong in appearance. I
believe with a minimum amount of talent and effort the guitar will become a prized
possession.
Thanks for your time and good luck.

This cracks runs approximately 11 1/2" along the bottom right. It is thin and
has no wood loss. A repair should be relatively easy.

I'm not sure how this could have happened but the scratch, (gouge) to the
finish runs nearly the entire length of the bottom.
