This is a 1958 CG Conn 10M Tenor Sax in very good playing condition. It has a few dings and small dents mostly in the bell and bow area, and a very small section of the bell rim is flat, but it plays well and sounds great! It may need some minor adjustments or tweaking here and there to play perfectly or exactly the way you like. The pads are newer looking metal resonator type that after a leak light test it seems 95% or better are sealing well, and the remaining show very minimal leakage. There is a video of me playing it below. The serial # is 754271 which puts it at 1958. The neck has been worked a fair amount, and the body ferule and neck ferule and neck brace have all been resoldered. There is also what looks like a tiny circular patch (see photo with pencil pointer) that is very expertly done and very clean and flush with the rest of the neck which makes me question if it is in fact a patch. Also, if I put a leaklight inside the neck to the area in question which is easily visually accessible I see no evidence of any breaks or soldering so I am a bit stumped. The original case is solid and in good functional condition showing some wear and the edges are taped. The mouthpiece is a Conn Precision #3 in good mildly worn cond with lig but no cap. There are various markings on the body that would indicate this was a school instrument at one time. Local pickup fine with me, no extra charge and obviously no shipping charge.
I will ship anywhere. You will always pay actual shipping costs and a small handling fee ($5~$10 depending on item size) to cover the cost of a new box and quality packing supplies so your item is well protected for it's journey. I do not profit from shipping fees.
I do my best to describe things as I see them. This instrument is sold as is with no returns unless there is a huge oversight on my part in regards to condition. Obviously from my feedback rating I do a good business and want people to be pleased with their items.
I accept ALL forms of payment. *If paying by PAYPAL on an item with a sale price of $150 or more, I prefer an E~CHECK as the fees are fixed at $5, but certainly will take a paypal payment in any form.
I ship on Mondays & Thursdays and may take up to 4 business days from the time your payment arrives to ship.
